History of Sanoh America
1939
Sanoh is founded in Tokyo, Japan. Early in its history, the company manufactured a variety of products, such as small motors, distilled spirits, and tape recorders. In the 1960s, Sanoh transitioned to producing automotive parts, which is the company’s primary product market today.

1986
HiSan Inc. (now Sanoh America, Inc.) is founded in Findlay, Ohio, as a joint venture between Sanoh Industrial and Higbie Baylock Manufacturing Co.
1987
Production begins at Findlay Ohio facility.
1988
PVdF plating lines are installed and begin production.
1993
Mt. Vernon, Ohio plant opens.
1996
Production of plastic products begins.
1997
HiSan of Canada (Renamed Sanoh Canada Ltd. in 2006) facility opens in Orangeville, Ontario.
1997
Production of Hyplacoat products begins.
2000
Scottsboro, Alabama Plant opens.
2002
PA coating extrusion production begins.
2003
Carthage, Mississippi facility opens.
2005
Sanoh Industrial acquires 100% ownership of HiSAN following dissolution of joint venture with Higbie Baylock Manufacturing.
2006
HiSAN Inc. is officially renamed Sanoh America Inc.
2009
Mt. Vernon Plant moves into its current facility to accommodate increased production demand.
2010
Archbold, Ohio Plant is incorporated into Sanoh America as a tubing production facility.
2011
On-site facility opens in Canton, Mississippi, servicing Nissan.
2011
On-site facility opens in Blue Springs, Mississippi, servicing Toyota.
2017
Sanoh America Inc. celebrates its 30-year anniversary.
2021
On-site facility opens in Huntsville, Alabama, servicing both Toyota and Mazda.
